Inspired by time I have spent packing into mountain wilderness, this piece reflects a more nostalgic time of the 1930's and 40's when my grandfather would have been hunting. Returning from a great hunt, another elk has just crossed their trail and alerted their mules. They'll limit out on this hunting trip.
