About the artist

This painting is the third painting in the series which was inspired by the love of a man, his dog and his truck. The hardest thing about doing this painting was finding a truck to complete the series. I was able to find a 1965 Dodge pickup truck. The black lab belonged to a very close friend of mine who also just happened to love trucks.

Growing up in wildlife-rich northwestern Pennsylvania, where his on-going love of the outdoors underlies and motivates his work, Larry Beckstein’s interest in capturing wildlife images on sketch pads and canvas had its beginning during his preteen years. He later refined his talent at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh.

Description
