Reaching Out
About This Artwork
Wading a shallow flat in pursuit of bonefish in, say, the Florida Keys or the Bahamas, is more like hunting than fishing. Youre always on the lookout for a telltale push or swirl of the waters surface, or the sun glinting off a fishs tail, or the shadow cast on the bottom by an otherwise nearly invisible bonefish. In such skinny water, your quarry is even more alert to danger than usual, which often requires that the angler reach out with a long cast.
