OLD ST. NICK
MEET THE ARTIST
Zac Kinkade
Zachary Thomas Kinkade, Thomas Kinkade’s nephew, was born in 1992 and has been passionate about art his entire life. Beginning when he was 11, Zachary began entering and winning national and regional art competitions and shows. Deciding that art was his calling, Zac submitted a portfolio to the Fort Worth Academy of Fine Art and was accepted to the school in preparation of formal university training the arts. During this time, Zac also attended Tarrant County College to study art and most significantly began apprenticing at the Thomas Kinkade Company to explore his own aesthetic vision. Zac continued these relationships while attending Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, where he eventually graduated with honors from that academy’s prestigious school of art and architecture.

THE PREMIER COLLECTION - LIMITED EDITION ART
There is no character as anticipated and jovial than Old St. Nick, and I could not resist the opportunity to pay homage to this Christmas spirit through oil and canvas. From the red in his cheeks and the white in his beard to the gold in his buttons and twinkling blue eyes, this is the Father Christmas I have envisioned since childhood. Laying awake on Christmas Eve waiting to hear the pause of reindeer on my roof was one of the best moments of my year. And looking out my window to try and catch glimpse of this jolly fellow kept magic in my heart for all the years of my youth.
While I saw my dad in the Santa suit, he would wear on occasion, I never saw the real deal clamoring down our chimney. His elusive nature, however, never dissuaded me from trying to spy out his whereabout. I hope this painting helps you imagine your own sightings, and, as always, thank you for sharing my adventure in art.
