Loudly Foraging
About This Artwork
I was walking the beach as early as nine in the morning today – not another soul in sight. Great! Strong winds, occassional sun, rain showers with rainbows and beautiful clouds. The waves crashing onto the beach are progressing further and further, high tide is coming.
Dozens of Sanderlings run up and down the beach trying to keep up with the waterline. At the end of this wet day we get a dramatic sunset, as if the sun is setting under a thick blanket of clouds. That means more rain is coming! At dusk I watch the male pheasant lead his flock to a safe place to spend the night. They will stay close to the house because tomorrow morning a slice of bread might just be flying out of the kitchen window again…
I have a few souvenirs from my walk to the beach and through the dunes on my desk. The wind is now howling through the chimney. Lousy weather. I love it.
