Driftless Country is a commissioned painting for a good longtime supporter of my art. Having recently acquired a great looking farm in the hills of SW Wisconsin the new owner and his family were just getting started on a future of land management and deer hunting that will almost certainly be even more important in the years ahead. This painting commemorates that future in advance.
