The leaves are turning and they provide the perfect camouflage for the pair of Northern cardinals. The female cardinal is a tan color with some reddish highlights on her wings, crest and tail, just like the leaves of our crabapple tree. The fruit they are enjoying has the same color as the male cardinal, they’re a perfect match!
