I love watching the Bananaquits build their nest in the desert rose (Adenium obesum). They carefully peel strips from the palm frond leaves, pull fibers from the palm tree trunk, collect dried seagrasses from the mangroves to use in their nest. They work tirelessly with infinite patience. The nest turns into a beautiful round nest with a side-entrance for the new generation of bananaquits.
